In January, we announced our new pursuit in the single-room custom control installation marketplace by delivering a new high-performance, affordably-priced product bundle through six select members of the PowerHouse Alliance, one of the nation’s largest consumer electronics supply and distribution groups.

After training and certification, PowerHouse customers are authorized to purchase a specific PowerHouse control bundle consisting of the new compact Nice/ELAN® EL-SC-100-SR System Controller and Nice/ELAN EL-HR1 handheld remote control, a combination that’s been optimized for control of single media rooms or other single-room installations.

We recently caught up with Dennis Holzer, Executive Director of PowerHouse Alliance, to check in on this new venture.

Holzer explained the program brought a new opportunity for them and their dealers. “This is offering major growth to our entire industry and the markets that we serve,” Holzer said.

He explained PowerHouse sells quite a few products from the Nice North America (NSC) family of brands, so this benefits their dealer base to be able to buy all their NSC products from one supplier. Holzer mentioned there has been increased interest from dealers so far, especially those who were previously interested in Nice/ELAN control products but didn’t have the ability to purchase.

Holzer also said another selling point to their dealers has been that many Nice/ELAN products integrate with other key products and brands, making installs simpler.

As distribution centers begin to reopen after the recent pandemic, Holzer is confident that the new displays featuring Nice/ELAN control products will be an exciting addition at all six of PowerHouse’s distribution centers.

Holzer said, “The positive side [in light of COVID-19] is our salespeople have had more opportunity to train and learn more about the products we sell and that work well together. Soon dealers will be able to see the beautiful working displays we have put in our locations.”
